THE teenager tipped as the new Jason Robinson will be on show at White Rose Avenue tomorrow when New Earswick All Blacks host the historic game against the West Indies.

The encounter will be the first time the Windies have been represented in a full 13-a-side rugby league match, and one player to look out for is speedy Steve Elms, the 16-year-old London Broncos Academy star who will make his debut for the development side.

Elms, who has drawn comparisons with former Great Britain winger and current England RU hero Jason Robinson, will be joined in the Windies team by fellow Broncos youngsters Joe Brown and Irvin Greenwood.

The Windies squad, represented by British-based players with Caribbean ancestry, recently enjoyed success in York with victory at the increasingly prestigious York International 9s, under the guidance of Hunslet Hawks' former York forward, Steve Pryce, who is the West Indies national coach, and another former York player Dean Thomas, their high performance co-ordinator.

Winger Matt Godfrey will again be turning out for them against his New Earswick club team-mates, while leading the charge in the huge pack will be York 9s hero Selwyn St Bernard, well supported by Castleford Tigers full-timer Alex Rowe and the experienced Howard Williams. York University player Wes Rodgers is also involved.

The All Blacks, meanwhile, have been preparing for their new life in the Pennine League having moved from the Yorkshire League in the closed season, and this will be their first pre-season friendly.

All Blacks coach Simon Baynes has a virtually full squad to pick from, barring Jez Petch and Dan Wellard, who are unavailable due to other commitments, and will give debuts to Adam Ferry, Paul Dooley, Al Davison, Chris Judge and Gareth Livesley.

Baynes said: "The players have trained hard over the summer and this will be a great game to identify things we are doing well and areas that we need to put right before the season begins."

Tomorrow's match - which kicks off the Windies' development tour of Yorkshire which could also take in matches against amateur club sides from Leeds, Bradford, Hull and Sheffield - will not be the only major event in the development weekend, with the West Indies RL Federation also hosting a training camp, starting today and concluding on Sunday.

The teams will compete for the Polar Ford Cup, while other sponsors of the event include The Bay Horse, Blossom Street, Caesar's Restaurant and Inc Dot Business Print Solutions. The match kicks off at 2pm with an under-9s curtain raiser at 1pm.

Entry is £3 for adults (including a souvenir brochure) - with £1 off if you present the voucher published below. Entry for seniors is £1 and under-16s go free.

West Indies replica jerseys will be available alongside New Earswick merchandise, and after the match an auction will take place, along with a raffle in which proceeds will go to injured RL player Danny Scott.
