NEW division four leaders Selby have a 14-point lead following their last over victory over Civil Service.

Ian Lake made 42 and Gareth Roberts 65 as they countered the bowling of Paul Wynn 3-23 to mount a Selby total of 162. When Service replied, Graham Purdy made 25, Greg Ritchie 38 and Andy Raper 30 but Richard Sherwood took 4-32 and Chris Dye 3-36 with Service's last wicket falling off the last but one delivery with the score 136.

Londesbrough Park have eased into second place after inflicting a four-wicket defeat on Hornsea.

Andy Massey (50) hit a half century for Hornsea while Ian Bottom made 39no to help the score to 151-9. Park's bowling was fronted jointly by Paul Youngman 3-46 and Rob Sawyer 3-40. Massey then followed with 3-45 but could not prevent a home triumph as Sam Dodd made 47 and Sam Stephenson 37.

Thorp Arch & Boston Spa moved into third place when they took 30 points from their trip to Pocklington whose 89 all out was a deficit of 116 runs.

Chris Cole hit 91 and Matt Fraser 32 in the Boston total of 205 all out with the innings featuring an eye-catching display by 16-year-old Alex Downey who took 6-29 in 9.1 overs for the hosts. Unfortunately his batsmen flopped as Martin Linnacre took 5-37 and Mike Cole 3-10 in a joint demolition exercise.

Easingwold started the day with a five point lead at the top of the division but closed the proceedings in fourth place, 20 points behind the leaders after suffering a three-wicket defeat at Huby.

M Little's 5-29 had Easingwold all out for 94 then Dan Grainger's 25 was just enough to tip the scales in Huby's favour.
