PLEASE tell me you are having a laugh about Samantha Archibald of York Body Piercing Clinic who claimed that the council should clean fast food remnants off shop windows (August 11).
If I were a shopkeeper in Micklegate and opened my shop on a morning to find the frontage covered with kebabs, the first thing I would do is wash it off.
I am sure that is what most people would do. I wouldn't wait until a customer took a look at it and walked away in disgust.
I cannot believe she has seen food remnants on her window, done nothing about it, watched potential customers walk away then had the audacity to ring the Evening Press and blame the council.
