Seb Sanders, fresh from his Gimcrack victory on Knavesmire yesterday, journeys to Sandown tomorrow with every chance of extending his scorching run, which has been going like clockwork for the last six weeks, with some 50 winners to his credit.

Countdown is Sanders' main ride at the Esher course, Sir Mark Prescott's juvenile having shown himself to be a sprinter on the upgrade when winning at Haydock on his latest start.

Although he was made to work on his latest outing, the hot favourite was comfortably ahead of One Great Idea at the line, and left the distinct impression that better things are to come in the future.

The £10,000 Betfred Nursery over five furlongs looks a good chance for Countdown to double his score tomorrow, and provide the red-hot Sanders with yet another success.

Finished Article should not be overlooked in the Combi UK Handicap over a mile.

The seven-year-old's form figures may not inspire too much confidence, but he has not enjoyed the best of luck in recent races, including in the William Hill Mile at Goodwood where he had an impossible draw. He is the sort of horse capable of popping-up here at a good price.

Finished Article represents trainer David Elsworth, who came nail-bitingly close to winning Tuesday's Juddmonte International at York with Norse Dancer.

Also worth noting at Sandown are Frankie Dettori's mount Magic Amigo (3-35) and the speedy Prince Cyrano (4-45), who could be on the verge of returning to winning form.

At Chester, the formidable combination of Sir Michael Stoute and Kieren Fallon, on the mark in yesterday's Yorkshire Oaks with Quiff, join forces once more with Daze in the David McLean Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

A promising third at Newmarket in May on her debut, Daze has the scope to improve a good deal over this extra couple of furlongs. She should take plenty of beating.

Fallon can also clinch the Linpac Group Nursery aboard the William Jarvis-trained Following Flow, a progressive juvenile.

The nap vote goes to Lennel, who represents local trainer Alan Bailey in the Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series Handicap for gentleman amateur riders.

The six-year-old has been running consistently well lately and underlined his well-being when chasing home Melodian and Trouble Mountain (winner since) at Haydock last time over ten furlongs. Tomorrow's step back up to a mile and a half should suit Lennel, who will receive every assistance from the accomplished Simon Walker.

Recent Ayr winner Bessemer (2-10) and the lightly-raced Tashkil (3-15) are also worthy of consideration on the Roodee.
