York City were outclassed, outplayed and out-and-out pathetic against Hereford United.
It was terrible to see, again, a complete lack of effort from too many players.
Apparently Chris Brass has switched on his video recorder and found the problems to "put things right". If only it was that easy.
Speaking to a few fans after the game, everyone seemed to agree that there seems to be fundamental problems within the club that are re-emerging year after year.
What I find worrying is that so many players were available during the summer after being released by clubs. Brass apparently ran the rule over what he thought were the best out there.
The result of his filtering was the team he picked on Saturday. If anything, Brass seemed one of the worst performers. If he is someone that the players are expected to look up to and find inspiration from then we are in serious trouble.
