SCARBOROUGH coach Nicky Henry is considering signing a second goalkeeper after Gareth Downey left the club.
Downey's departure means that Leigh Walker is now the only keeper at the club.
Although Henry has had a couple of trialists in training this week it is by no means certain that he will put a second glovesman on the bench for tomorrow's visit of Exeter City.
"I have had a look at Pascal Foreman, who has been at Nottingham Forest, and Darren Horrigan, who was formerly at Lincoln, but I may decide to take a chance and name five outfield players.
He said: "I am looking for a new keeper to put pressure on Leigh Walker who has had no competition so far this season and I don't think it is helping his game."
Henry has only one senior player injured at the moment - Paul Foot out with a stomach muscle problem - but is worried that his strikers are not converting the chances that are being created.
"They are all getting anxious in front of goal and it just needs a lucky break to get them going," said Henry.
Exeter manager Eamonn Dolan is considering handing a start to young striker Sean Canham after he scored twice in a midweek reserve game against Torquay United.
Former Scarborough midfielder Harry Dunn was this weeked sacked as Whitby Town's manager after nine years in charge of the Blues.
Scarborough from: Walker, Lyth, Hotte, Cryan, Nicholson, Thompson, Redfearn, Kerr, Gilroy, Hackworth, Burton, Gill, Senior, Baker, Coulson, Pounder.
