RUFFORTH Football Club's crop of talented youngsters are hoping to make a big impression when they step up to the Leeper Hare York and District Senior League this season.
The bulk of their all-star junior side will be mixing it with the seniors in Reserve 'C' after dominating the Under 16 section of the British Sugar York Minor League last season.
They won division one without losing a game, winning 18 of their 20 matches, and completed the treble by beating Pickering Town 2-0 at Bootham Crescent in the League Trophy final and the Pikes again, 4-3, in the York FA Under 17 final at New Lane.
The only silverware to elude them was the North Riding Cup in which they lost 3-0 to Grangetown - their first defeat in 18 months.
The full Leeper Hare programme kicks-off tomorrow, although the premier division sides have been in action for the last couple of weeks.
