I ASK City Of York Council: what is the point in placing a "keep off the grass" sign at Clifford's Tower, only for it to be blatantly ignored?
I am aware, from reports in the media, that literacy levels in schools are "apparently" at an all-time low, but surely the parents should teach their offspring to respect authority.
Let us not forget that Clifford's Tower is not merely an historical monument but also a shrine, around which daffodils bloom in February, to mark a Jewish massacre in 1190. People should respect this.

Upper Newborough Street, York.
