Moor Lane, who failed to keep a clean sheet at home last term, opened their division three season with a 3-0 home win over Huby. Charlie Goodwin, Paul Rathbone and John Yeats scored.
Three new sides were elected to the league during the summer, and two of these, Tadcaster and Cawood, met each other in their opening game.
An own goal and four goals from Tadcaster's Sam Farthing helped turn a 3-1 defict to a 5-3 win for Tadcaster.

Sheriff Hutton beat York RI 3-0 with goals from Roger Lovelace, Daniel Henby and Richard Bedingham.
Hemingbrough went 2-0 up at Rawcliffe, both goals from Richard Ireland. The home side drew level before the break through Matt Fern and Geoff Hunter. Hemingbrough regained the advantage in the second half with goals from Mark Livsey and a Dave Young free kick.
Huntington Rovers, last season's Reserve 'B' champions, trounced Malton Bacon Factory 5-0 in Reserve 'A'.
James Wood scored in the first half, Neil Cadyworld, Craig McDonald, Graham McDonald and Lee Jackson in the second half. Huntington's 16-year-old Dave Smith made an impressive debut.
