Acorn 'A'-team got off to a good start to their Pennine League Division 4 campaign beating Illingworth 'A' 74-4.
Paul Sawyer grabbed four tries and Andy Henson capped a man-of-the-match display with two tries and ten goals.
Other tries came from Mick Callum (2), Chris Caulfield, Ryan Callum, Barry Fox, Kev Brayshaw and Ken Forbes.
There was more success for the Acorn ranks.
The club toppled New Earwick All Blacks 3-22 in the Under-14s York and District Cup Final at Heworth led by man-of-the-match Tom Wilcox-Harris.
