SO, the police chief wants her constables to avoid jury duty if possible (September 24).
Has anyone thought about all the appointments doctors would have to cancel if they have to sit on a six- month trial, or the fire crews who go out a man short because of this ruling?
There was a good reason for exempting these local heroes.
It's up to Joe Public to do their civic duty and serve on a jury if called and not whinge and moan with pathetic excuses.
