I HAVE witnessed the aftermath of two crashes, most recently on November 25, one involving a police van.
Both incidents involved vehicles leaving Walmgate for Lawrence Street. Why have these started occurring? It never happened before the shutting of the historic gateway. Is the new lay out causing confusion?
Since accidents are occurring, dare I say what the council might be thinking: shut the bar entrance completely, inbound and outbound. There'd be no accidents then! Or will they be thinking sensibly and put it back to how it was? I doubt it very much.
