COUN Jones is clearly desperate to find something to moan about when the only thing he can find to attack is an informal working party - the Barbican Working Group ("Crunch Barbican meeting 'fiasco'", December 16).
The Barbican Working Group has always met infrequently and is not a decision-making body.
All decisions relating to the Barbican development are taken through the normal democratic process and Coun Jones and his Labour colleagues all have the necessary information made available to them.
So seriously did Labour take the working group when they were in power that, at one of its few meetings, none of their councillors even managed to turn up.
Coun Ceredig Jamieson-Ball,
Emily Mews,
York.
