YORK City supporter Dave Wells has asked for the watch that he won in the Preston and Duckworth Jewellers and Evening Press Player of the Month competition to be auctioned off to raise funds for the Tsunami York Aid appeal and the Supporters Trust.
Dave was chosen from the readers who e-mailed and posted their man-of-the-match votes for December's award and his prize was a Tissot watch, as well as making the presentation to Player of the Month winner Kevin Donovan.
The watch will now be open to bids during the Legends Dinner on March 30 when the 50th anniversary of City's 1955 FA Cup semi-final appearance will be celebrated at York Racecourse.
