PROLIFIC goalscorer Neale Holmes hit a 30-minute hat-trick for York John Smith's Sunday Morning League division four leaders Skelton to destroy visitors Wilberfoss 5-1.

Andy Grainger added a fourth before Wilberfoss pulled one back in the first half through Dean Holden.

Holmes then bagged his fourth of the game in the second period to secure the comprehensive win.

Acomb Celtic refused to let Skelton out of their sights with a Gareth Gray treble and a brace from Ian Hufton seeing them to a 5-3 win at Black Swan.

F1 Racing found themselves behind to a Howells goal for Rumours despite dominating the first half. They made amends in the second period as a cross-shot from Adrian Jordan looped in at the far post on the hour and an unfortunate own goal five minutes later gifted them the points.

Matty Muscroft (2) and Steve Jeff gave Selby Olympia Reserves a flying start at home to Bay Horse (Tadcaster).

The visitors came out more positive in the second half and reduced the arrears with goals from Burlingham and Nicholls and were unlucky not to salvage a point.

Defences were on top at Poppleton WMC where a single strike from Lee Ward earned Albion Vaults a 1-0 win.

Oxtoby, Ratcliffe and Smethurst were all on the mark as Gypsy Moth eased their relegation fears with a 3-2 win over Castle Howard Ox.

Andrew Metcalfe banged in all four goals as Raskelf Rovers ended CPP's seven game unbeaten run with a 4-2 win to keep them top of the DIVISION FIVE table.

Wanderers moved back to second place with a 3-2 win over Selby Griffin, David Hartas netting twice.

Thomas' Hotel returned to winning ways with a 10-0 mauling of Pocklington Rangers.

Veteran Dave Williams revelled in his new striking role as he grabbed four, Terry Taylor added a treble, Stevie Scott two, and an own goal rounded off the scoring.

Steff Tomaino gave Edinburgh Arms a flying start with two goals in the first seven minutes against Cawood. Joe Vaughan scored on the half hour to secure a 3-0 win.

Quaker Wood and Firkin 103 shared six goals but a point apiece will not have benefited either team.
