BISHOPTHORPE White Rose needed extra time before finally squeezing past Heworth in the third round of the York Mitchell Sports Football League Cup.

Goals from Tom Sanderson, Dan Owers and James Baxter gave Bishops a 3-1 victory. Lewis Legeway was on target for Heworth.

Extra time was also required before Ryan Poppitt broke the deadlock as Thorpe United eventually beat Rawcliffe 1-0.

Johnny Burbeck (2) and David Thompson (2) saw Pickering Town 'A' progress 4-1 at the expense of Ulleskelf, whose goal came from Jonah Beecher.

William Yarrow scored a hat-trick as Real Cliffe beat Easingwold 5-1 in the second round of the Plate competition. Cliffe's other marksmen were Tom Collins and Jake Whiteman, while Edward Buck netted Easingwold's consolation effort.

With the score 2-2 after full-time, Copmanthorpe and Easingwold 'A' played out a thrilling session of extra time.

Cop won thanks to a Toby McInnis' hat-trick, and a goal each by Joe Broughton and Oliver Bird while Matthew Goddard (2) and Jordan Brown replied.

Another match to go beyond regulation time was between York College and Huntington, College winning 4-2 with Jake Sanderson (2), Dominic Walton and Callum Maloney on target. Dean Layton and Joe Davison scored for Huntington.

Woodthorpe Wanderers had their shooting boots on against Fulford, winning 8-3 with goals from Josh Molesworth (3), Matt White (2), Luke Campsall, Luke Campbell and Daniel Ballantyre. Fulford's marksmen were A Pape, N Myers and S Jerrod-Smith.

One division one game was played and saw Tadcaster Albion overwhelm Osbaldwick 12-1 with Simon Dale (3), Thomas Franklin (3), Jonathan Maxted (2), Andrew Maxted (2), Ryan Batty and Toby Strangeway leading the way. Remy Fiaux hit Osbaldwick's consolation goal.
