LEEPER Hare York and District Football League Reserve A leaders Dringhouses had to wait until ten minutes from time before snatching victory at Kartiers.

Wayne Carter, with his ninth goal of the season, finished a move down the right to keep Dringhouses two points clear at the top.

Second-placed Old Malton had to come from a goal down to beat visitors New Earswick 4-1 with goals from Sam Thackeray (2), Tom Moorcroft and Danny Bulmer.

York St John's College moved into third place with a 1-0 win at Malton Bacon Factory with Robin Bedford scoring for the fourth consecutive game.

Pocklington's slide down the table continued with a 3-2 defeat at Copmanthorpe. Josh Levitt gave Cop an early lead but Pock responded with goals from Les Falkingham and Rob Bradley before Mathew Pearson converted a penalty to level the game, and the hosts claimed all the points with a late winner.

Dunnington improved their survival chances after beating fellow strugglers Huntington 6-3. Ben Norris put Dunnington in front before two own goals gave the visitors a half-time lead. Huntington then went 3-1 in front before Dunnington launched a five-goal fightback from Chris Burgess (2), Chris Turpin, Tony Dowing and another Norris strike.

A Nestl Rowntree win over rivals Bishopthorpe at the end of the month will give them the Reserve 'B' title after Trees hammered bottom club Barmby Moor 7-1.

Their goals were shared between Phil O'Riley, Danny Franklin, Steve Fratson, Mick O'Shaunesey, Luke Brownbridge and Ken Davies (2). Kenny Anderson hit Barmby's reply.

If Rowntree slip up in their final game, Haxby are one of the sides that could still take the title, after their 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge where Paul Jacobs and Mike Taylor (2) were on target. Their two remaining fixtures are both against Barmby Moor.

Bishopthorpe, who also remain in contention finally ended Wiggington's hopes by beating them 3-1.

Reserve C leaders Hamilton Panthers have virtually one hand on the championship already as they maintained their ten-point advantage at the top

Unbeaten Panthers outclassed Tockwith to win 6-0 with five of the goals coming from Steve Gagen who has now scored 25 in total. The scoring was completed courtesy of an own goal.

Poppleton remain in second place after beating Heslington 6-3 with Charlie Jackson hitting a hat-trick. Pop's other goals came from Joe Haw, Steve Abbott and Dave Bailey. Dan Kelly hit two of Heslington's reply with Tony Turner, making his debut, the third.

York RI have regained the leadership of Reserve 'D' after their 5-2 win at Civil Service and the defeat of the previous leaders Norwich Union.

Two first half goals from Dave Clarke gave RI the lead before Ross Dixon pulled one back for Service. Chris Haigh restored their two-goal cushion but the hosts pulled one back through Nick Doggitt before goals from Luke Richardson and Danny Wood confirmed RI's win.

Fulford beat Norwich Union for the first time in four attempts with teenagers Graham Nicholl (3), Darren Todd and Ben Atkinson on target with Shaun Cade completing the scoring. Rob Collier and Phil Hutton scored for Union.

Stillington's Shaun Linton scored twice to put his side in command, but LNER Builders, who had failed to score in their previous three games, hit back with second half goals from Paul Crossley, Adam Osgothorpe and Stuart Richardson (2) to run out 4-2 winners.
