TWO individual tries by half-back Mark Green lit up a one-sided match at White Rose Avenue where New Earswick All Blacks ARLC maintained their hold on Pennine League division two with a 50-4 thrashing of Silsden Park Rangers 'A'.

Mid-table Silsden, fielding what looked like a weakened team, went ahead with an early touchdown, but that was the last time they threatened the home line and the All Blacks, for whom second-row Rowan Wallace-Hills was outstanding, went on to register ten tries.

Green's superb double were both of his own making, while second-row Jo Jo Hnesh, who was also excellent throughout, also crossed twice.

Other tries came from centre Carl Pallister, winger Shaun Bewlay, scrum-half Ben Jones, winger Phil Turpin, substitute Robbie Beavers and centre Dan Wellard. James Sanderson, playing at hooker in place of Alan Pallister, booted four conversions, with Jones adding one.

It was not the All Blacks' best display of the term in what were awful conditions, but it was easily good enough to keep them top of the table with three games to go.

York Acorn 'A' may face a play-off for the division four title after they and Undercliffe both won convincingly, Acorn hammering Brighouse Rangers 'A' 54-0 and Undercliffe thrashing Birkenshaw 'A' 52-12.

Acorn have finished their campaign with 32 points from 18 games and Undercliffe have 30 with one game to go. Acorn have better points-difference but the Pennine League decide titles, promotion and relegation via a play-off.

Selby Warriors' slim hopes of the division five title ended as Bank Top Harriers hammered West Bowling 'B' 42-0 to go top. Warriors, whose season has ended, are guaranteed second spot.
