WAS the reason for the City of York Council's tree lopping tour bus so that women race-goers won't catch their wide-brimmed hats on the low, overhanging tree limbs? (Letters, April 8).
If so, will the "loppin lads" be taking the appropriate amount of wood from the door-jambs on the hundreds of ladies' loos dotted about Knavesmire?
