IT is fair to suggest that Britain has failed to contract election fever. Apart from a few heated exchanges on Iraq and immigration, the campaign thermometer has barely moved.

But that is not an excuse to ignore polling day. Tomorrow is your only chance for four or five years to make a difference to the way we are governed.

Today the main party leaders lay out their stalls for Evening Press readers. Mull over their views - and then go out and vote. It is the best way to have your say.
