DIVISION four side Pocklington beat Woodhouse Grange by eight wickets in the only HPH York Vale Cricket League game to survive the weather last weekend.
Grange had first use of a green track and were soon in trouble at 3-2. Doug Bartle (16) and John Henly (18) shared a 30-run partnership for the third wicket but the introduction of Mal Harrison (2-13) curtailed the innings at 78-9 from 35 overs.
Harrison (37no) then took charge with the bat as he and young Mark Woods (22no) shared an unbroken 55-run stand to smooth the path to victory.
