WE need to look at the cause of so much rubbish - elaborate packaging, free newspapers, including the council's own publication, junk mail and brochures and even the Focus newsletter from the Lib-Dems pushed through our door uninvited. Tackle the problem at source.
I am fed up with higher charges and fewer services. If our rubbish is collected every two weeks I hope the council has an efficient pest control team to deal with the number of rats that will be attracted to overflowing wheelie bins.
