THE proposal to cut rubbish collection to once a fortnight fills me with foreboding.
Having seen the results of this in Kent, where rubbish builds up and people have big problems with overflowing bins, smells and other unwholesome effects of insufficient room to keep it all out of sight, I seriously question the advisability of taking this route.
I am happy to collect whatever is required for recycling and leave it out on the right day - as I do now - but don't stop the weekly waste removal
