I HAVE been a taxi driver in our glorious city for three years.

Although people say we are bad drivers, I see more clowns every day on our city roads than at Billy Smart's circus, and this does not include those at the council's traffic management department.

Once again the wonderful "intelligent" (or not so) bollard was hit by a bus (May 13). It is time we saw an end to this, and put the bollard in the nearest skip.

We saw an initial installation charge of £60,000 for this useless piece of rubbish. It has been struck for a third time now since last December.

How much does it cost us tax payers in wasted council money?

At Christmas the bollard was on free access as the council had not enough manpower to watch over it.

Could the council not introduce a Dick Turpin-type highway robbery charge for unauthorised vehicles, as they certainly commit highway robbery with their parking charges.
