Tom Greenall, who is based with Mick Easterby at Sheriff Hutton, will be crowned champion amateur rider over jumps on Saturday, a title he has had sewn-up for several weeks.

Tomorrow, though, he switches his talents to the Flat and travels to Newmarket to team-up with Nap selection Authority in the Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series.

Trained by Lady Herries, Authority ran out a gutsy winner at Yarmouth on his only previous run this season and looks sure to go well in this ten-furlong contest in the hands of Greenall, a son of Aintree racecourse chairman Lord Daresbury.

Lets Roll, who caught the eye on Knavesmire last week, makes the journey from North Yorkshire to Newmarket tomorrow with good prospects of opening his seasonal account.

The four-year-old, trained at Middleham by Chris Thornton, goes for the Robinsons Mercedes-Benz of Cambridge Handicap and will be partnered by Dean McKeown, his regular rider.

A progessive performer last season, when he won at Redcar and Ripon, Lets Roll showed unmistakable promise on his return to action at York when finishing third to Cruise Director.

That outing should have sharpened him up, and it would come as no surprise to see Lets Roll at the head of affairs tomorrow.

At Goodwood, Malarkey, an easy winner at Thirsk a fortnight ago, looks sure to go well in the Avtrade Handicap over two miles.

Stef Liddiard's eight-year-old is clearly in great heart, judged on his latest success and although he faces a tougher test tomorrow, a bold bid is anticipated.
