A MAN died today in a car smash near Pocklington.
The crash happened on the A1079 at Barmby Moor at about 2.30am.
The crash victim, whose age is not known, is believed to have died at the scene.
An ambulance spokeswoman today confirmed no one had been taken to hospital.
Police cordoned off the road today while they investigated the scene.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said the road was expected to remain closed for some hours this morning.
