A double-header in the north tomorrow with Newcastle hosting the afternoon action and Beverley producing the evening goodies, is highlighted by their two most important juvenile events of the season.

The £25,000 Hilary Needler Trophy takes pride of place and Frankie Dettori, sure of a warm welcome on the Westwood, has a great chance of taking the honours aboard Give Me The Night.

Trained at Newmarket by Ed Dunlop, Give Me The Night fulfilled the promise of an excellent debut effort to finish second at Windsor with a very cosy win in a modest race at Wolverhampton, where she barely came off a tight rein.

Give Me The Night faces a much stiffer test tomorrow, but with no winner's penalty to carry, the conditions of this five-furlong Listed race should suit her and she is strongly fancied to add Dettori's name to the Hilary Needler roll of honour.

In the £20,000 Brian Yeardley Continental Two-Year-Old Trophy, River Kintyre makes plenty of appeal.

The Barry Hills-trained colt, a good fourth in the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster back in March, got off the mark at his second attempt in fine style at Chepstow four weeks ago. The best, it seems, is yet to come from River Kintyre, who is expected to go well here under trainer's son Michael Hills.

Whatever Dettori's fate aboard Give Me The Night, he promises to give his fans a good run for their money in the opening totesport Big Screen Is Here Tonight aboard the in-form Gurrun, who is chasing his third win from four starts, and also on Triple Two, unbeaten in two starts last term, in the Rollits Solicitors Handicap.

Richard Hannon has his horses in good form and Abide is fancied to add to the trainer's scoresheet in the Maiden Fillies' Stakes over an extended seven furlongs.

Ryan Moore's mount failed by less than a length to get the better of Danehill Dazzler at Nottingham last time after the pair had pulled six lengths clear of the remainder.

At Newcastle, Cyber Santa will surely be hard to beat in the Prince's Trust Apprentic Handicap.

The James Hetherton-trained seven-year-old was only narrowly denied at Beverley last time, being collared in the shadow of the post and beaten a head and a neck into third place.

Although that was only a banded race, this is no better and Cyber Santa is napped to gain quick compensation.

Masta Plasta should go well in the Renault Kangoo Maiden Stakes.

Howard Johnson's speedy juvenile was only just beaten on his debut at Hamilton, going down by a head to Guest Connection. With Robert Winston back on board, he is selected to go one better.

Boppys Princess, winner of her last two races, has every chance of completing a hat-trick for Malton trainer Richard Fahey in the £10,000 Prince's Trust Handicap.

Paul Hanagan, who knows her so well, has the mount on the four-year-old, who has proved such a wonderful money-spinner in the last 12 months for her Ryedale owner Sylvia Bond.
