Eswarah, unbeaten in her two races to date, can hit the jackpot at Epsom tomorrow by completing a hat-trick in the £350,000 Vodafone Oaks.

Trained by the in-form Michael Jarvis for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, the three-year-old will be partnered by the owner's retained jockey Richard Hills as she bids to come out on top of her 11 rivals.

A daughter of Midway Lady, who won the 1986 Oaks, Eswarah has gained both her wins at Newbury, one in a maiden and the other in Listed company, and both times, she was mightily impressive.

Tomorrow's undulating course, and the step-up to a longer distance, present Eswarah with a different type of test, but she has all the hallmarks of a deeply progressive filly and, in Jarvis, she has a genius of a trainer guiding her career.

An exciting prospect, Eswarah is napped to come out on top. Of the others, Virginia Waters, so impressive in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, but less convincing when soundly beaten in the Irish equivalent, is clearly talented, but has questions to answer. Cassydora and Something Exciting look potentially useful, and could pose a threat, along with Dream To Dress, whose Irish trainer Dermot Weld seldom sends a horse to Britain just for a change of scenery.

The £250,000 Vodafone Coronation Cup forms a thrilling double-header of major races at Epsom tomorrow and Alkaased appeals to me as the most likely winner of this fascinating 'classic' for older horses.

Luca Cumani's colt has never stopped improving and thoroughly deserves this graduation to Group 1 company after winning the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket on his reappearance.

Jimmy Fortune has the mount on the five-year-old, who may have most to fear from Irish challenger Yeats, the mount of Kieren Fallon.

Kew Green, who has been a revelation this season already, winning his last three races, bids to make it four in the £75,000 Vodafone Rose Bowl Heritage Handicap. He will be hard to beat under regular rider Dane O'Neill.

At Thirsk, Willie Supple could be the jockey to follow. He teams-up with Tim Easterby in the Anthony Fawcett Memorial Handicap and the duo have good prospects of clinching victory with Tcherina, who is overdue a winning turn.

Beaten only a head by Self Respect at York last month, after the pair had drawn eight lengths clear of the remainder, Tcherina stays tomorrow's distance of 12 furlongs well and promises to be a tough nut to crack. Furthermore, Easterby had two winners yesterday, confirming the good form of his horses.

Supple will also be aboard Algharb in the Carleton Furniture Maiden Stakes, and the William Haggas-trained three-year-old is fancied to open his winning account.

There was plenty to like about his debut effort, when finishing fourth, at Doncaster, a month ago and Algharb is entitled to have come on from that outing. He is taken to have the edge over Godolphin's Jabraan, a beaten favourite on his only outing last season.

The Leather Wedge is in rude health and Bob Johnson's sprinter is taken to complete a hat-trick of wins in the Levy Board Apprentice Handicap over five furlongs.
