THE report "£3.5 million pay review could cost jobs" (May 28) amazes me.
The council will invest millions of pounds on computer systems with a short lifespan and not bat an eyelid when they need replacing.
If workers are entitled to a rise why should it cause such a reaction? If the money can be found for this technology, why not for wages.
What and who do you value? That is the question we have to ask ourselves today.
