The drive to carry New Earswick All Blacks Rugby League Club out of Pennine League division two as champions at the first attempt was rewarded this week as four forwards received plaudits.
Loose forward Chris Judge was the top try-scorer after the former York RL man crossed the line an incredible 34 times. He was also crowned the players' player of the season.
Second rower Alan Davidson was named most improved player at the well-attended Monkbar Hotel do, with fellow back row man Rowan Wallace-Hills taking the clubman of the year trophy.
Prop JoJo Hnesh won the coaches' player of the year vote.
Pre-season training for All Blacks' assault on the division one title next term has started and will be held each Thursday at 7pm at White Rose Avenue. Players old and new are welcome.
