I READ with interest the article on the York's transport plan (June 22).
Perhaps I am cynical, but is the city trying once again to skew the results of its consultation? I noted the 20,000 questionnaires were distributed through a number of outlets including cycle retailers and bus services, including Park and Ride. They were not distributed through the outlet most convenient to most users of the city's transport infrastructure, humble filling stations, which every motorist in the city uses from time to time. If we are going to use ratepayers' money to consult then please consult fully and fairly and include motorists. You may not like to hear their views but they do pay their rates (and parking charges) along with other residents.
