Last Saturday Tarah Mason told My York News how she and a friend captured what they believe may be a ghostly apparition on their mobile phone while on their way home from a night out and walking through a tunnel in Leeman Road.

Their exploits have inspired another local ghost-hunter to check out the tunnel and share his experiences of this and other unexplained phenomena...

I was intrigued by the picture in the Evening Press and on My York News and felt daring enough to go and check it with a friend.

We were walking back from a night out and decided to use our mobile phone to film the whole tunnel to see where this face was supposed to be.

We scoured every corner of the tunnel, which has a little light from street lamps at either end.

We really didn't expect to find anything but it was quite spooky down there at midnight so we were quite scared.

We were just laughing and messing about really - but when we got halfway down the tunnel there was a dark patch and we could clearly see the image of a face.

We panned back again with the camera just to make sure and then you can see the face come into view.

I think this tunnel is believed to be haunted and that it is well-known for paranormal activity.

But we don't really know what the face is and we're not convinced it is a ghost.

We're wondering whether it could be some kind of reflection from the light that coincidentally looks like a face.

It's very puzzling but maybe people out there have an opinion on what it is.

I think I have seen some other kind of ghostly apparitions.

I went over to my village church one day at around 5:00pm where it was cloudy and dull.

I started taking pictures of the village church and after I was happy with my pictures I went home and uploaded them on to my computer.

After the pictures were opened up there were yellow orbs dotted around the churchyard.

Some appeared to be in a motion form with a trail behind them.

I looked this up in a book and I think I have found the correct name for the apparitions, which are called "Cemetery Lights".

I am convinced they are not caused by bad lighting.

There's no light around the church so I couldn't see any interference with lighting!
