Sessions ‘A’ thumped University ‘A’ 9-1 in division one of the NEDL York & District Table Tennis League, with Richard Moss and Mick Wilcockson unbeaten.
Bootham ‘A’ drew with Coneysthorpe ‘B’, while Dave Lamb was in good form as Shepherds ‘A’ overcame Railway ‘B’ 6-4.
In division two, John Temple ensured Holgate ‘D’ overcame BT ‘A’ 7-3 in their relegation clash.
However, they were then beaten 6-4 by bottom team NEDL/Bootham, who picked up their first win of the season thanks to Dave Quinlan.
Gareth Bryning saw Bootham ‘B’ to a 7-3 win over Shepherds ‘B’, while Rich Harrison guided Bootham ‘C’ to an 8-2 success against Sessions ‘B’.
In division three, Richard Collyer was in tenacious form as he helped Bootham ‘D’ draw with Holgate ‘E’, winning his three singles, two by the minimum margin.
David Atkinson and Steve Long saw Shepherds ‘D’ to a 9-1 win over their ‘E’ team.
Aviva ‘A’ edged out Railway ‘D’ with Ernest Omane-Kodie leading the way.
In division four, Pete Corner and Jan Suchecki helped Bootham ‘E’ win 8-2 at Railway ‘G’.
