Harvey Johnson and fellow scouts from Heworth enjoy a musical evening with some help from York Rotters
Scouts in Heworth have been banging on about composting and recycling with composting group York Rotters.
The Scouts have been singing songs and drumming on compost bins as part of Compost – The Mini-Musical, written by local poet and composer Anneliese Emmans Dean from the Big Buzz.
Over the last couple of weeks the children have been drumming and singing and then performed the musical to friends and relatives.
• City of York Council is holding a one-day sale of compost bins at Asda Monks Cross, on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
