ANY sensible person will acknowledge that the ill-thought-out Labour smoking ban has been disastrous for the licensed trade.

Surely a room could have been set aside whereby no bar person would be affected, with smokers going into the main bar to buy a drink.

However, recently I have noticed an increase in loud crude swearing, and in some pubs and clubs this seems to be accepted more as a norm.

Also, noisy mobile phone talk is a real annoyance when people are trying to relax.

Breweries and publicans should put notices up banning swearing and long mobile phone conversations, then everyone would be happy Easter bunnies.
