THIS goose has chosen a rather precarious nesting site close to a field gun outside York Castle Museum.
The bird has been guarding its eggs in a concrete planter, much to the delight of museum’s visitors.
A spokesperson for the museum, said: “A pair of geese decided to set up home there a couple of weeks ago and since then they have been providing extra entertainment for people visiting the museum.
“It is quite normal for them to nest around the Eye of York at this time of year and every year they seem to find yet another strange location.”
People are warned not to get too close to the goose, as the birds can can be very protective towards their young.
