CITY of York Hockey Club York Ladies 2nd XI beat Bingley Bees firsts 3-1 to move within a point of their second-placed Yorkshire League division two rivals.
York took the lead through Vicky Skilton from a clean pass from Julie Routledge only for the Bees to level.
A goal from Julie Routledge restored the York lead and then, following a series of fine saves by York ’keeper Verity Nouch, York sealed victory with a strike by Annabel Lee.
