Acomb Hockey Club Men’s I were held to a 2-2 draw by Doncaster IV in Yorkshire League division three.
The sides were locked at 0-0 at half-time, but Doncaster took the lead after the break.
After several short corners, Acomb finally levelled as Chris Ball guided the ball in at the back post to score his first goal for the club.
Doncaster raised their game again and regained the lead when a shot took a slight deflection and sneaked past ’keeper Paul Kellett.
With less than five minutes remaining, Acomb got another short corner and Matt Dickenson levelled with drag flick into the top left corner.
The Tangerines second string were without a fixture in division eight, while the club’s ladies and mixed teams were also out of action.
