FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Tarryn Watkins is one of York’s young aspiring musicians making the most of the city’s Jam Factory Saturday Academy.
Sessions take place from 11am to 2pm at the recording studios in Eldon Street, The Groves.
They are aimed at anyone aged 11 to 19 who wants to develop their musical skills.
A team of fully-qualified music industry professionals and volunteer trainee tutors provide a safe and relaxed learning environment for the young musicians.
Each individual’s programme can be tailored to his or her needs and the course length is based purely on the musician’s aspirations and requirements.
Subsidies are available are awarded based on information disclosed in a short informal interview and audition.
