WHY can’t people take a few more minutes on a snowy morning to remove more snow from their cars?

Driving, or rather crawling, in my car to work, I noticed so many people only able to see out of their cars via the area swept by the windscreen wiper.

Removing more snow gives you more visibility, and removing it from the roof of your car will prevent it from slipping down onto the windscreen and blocking your view. It’s really simple. Just use a soft bristle brush to brush the snow off the whole car which only takes a minute to do and then use de-icer to clear any ice on the windscreen. Turn your lights on (not fog lights in built-up areas, as I’ve seen some do), and set off carefully.

I just don’t understand why people drive their cars the way they do. A couple more minutes late for work is worth it if you can actually see out of your car to get there in the first place. Wouldn’t they rather arrive alive?
