A FORMER RAF office York has received yet another commendation following his retirement.
Sqn Ldr (Ret’d) Barry Treanor was awarded a commendation from the Air Officer Commanding No 22 (Training) Group, Air Vice-Marshall Barry North, during his recent visit to Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron at RAF Church Fenton.
Mr Treanor was the air squadron’s adjutant for five years before his retirement in April last year.
He said: “It’s an honour to receive this commendation, which is a fitting end to my 40 years in RAF uniform.”
It is the third Air Officer Commanding commendation for Mr Treanorwho joined the RAF in 1968. He lives in York with his wife, Noelle.
