ON Thursday and Friday of last week, complete mayhem was brought about because the sequencing of the traffic lights along Barbican Road, around to Walmgate Bar and into Lawrence Street to James Street, had been tampered with.
Do the people responsible really think no one notices, and especially as the traffic was backing up to Fulford Road and the full length of Paragon Street for most of the days mentioned?
The works going on in Walmgate had nothing to do with it, as this messing around with what is normally a free flowing area has happened before.
