PARKING for residents in the Bishopthorpe Road area has become increasingly difficult in the five years we have lived here.
Many people working or shopping in the city centre use the main road and side streets as a car park making it, at times, almost impossible for local people to park anywhere near their homes.
Now, to make matters worse, the council has introduced a disabled parking bay and extended double yellow lines in Aldreth Grove.
Why? I have no objection disabled parking bays in principle, but since this one was created two weeks ago I have kept an eye on it... and to my knowledge, it has never been used.
