YOUNGSTERS got on their bikes to see Santa as part of a festive fancy dress ride led by Cycling City York.
The ride was organised in conjunction with green transport charity Sustrans, and saw members of the Cycling City York team join parents and children for a gentle, four-mile guided cycle ride.
Those taking part set off from York Minster and were led through the city to Santa’s village at Murton Park, where they were given a tour of the elves’ workshops and boarded a train to meet Santa.
Every child received a gift and there were also prizes for the best-dressed riders.
