Former Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey and TV chef Richard Fox have called time on their career running a pub.
The pair had taken over the Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn in Marton-cum-Grafton, near Boroughbridge, 18 months ago, but have now handed the keys to the pub back.
A glitzy party was held last May with more than 100 guests at a star-studded opening bash for the pub – which even offered a beer especially prepared for the venture, Morrissey Fox Blonde Ale.
The high-profile pub was made famous after its initial refurbishment and redevelopment was the focus of three hour-long Channel 4 documentaries.
Despite the setback Morrissey and Fox are said to be undeterred and are reportedly now looking for other free-houses in the Yorkshire area.
Morrissey could not be contacted for comment.
