Sessions ‘A’ continue to lead division one of the York and District Table Tennis League but they were held to a surprise draw by Coneysthorpe ‘A’, despite an excellent display from Richard Moss.
Railway ‘A’ began the season in fine style, overcoming their ‘B’ team 8-2, before winning 7-3 at Holgate ‘B’.
However, they went down to their first defeat of the season as they were edged out by Holgate ‘A’. Paul Robertson was undefeated in all three games.
Graham Hatfield and Tony Reed saw Holgate ‘A’ to a narrow win over Bootham ‘A’.
Alfie Potter led Holgate ‘B’ to a 7-3 success over Coneysthorpe ‘B’.
Bootham ‘B’ have opened up with three wins in division two and their latest victory saw them thump Holgate ‘C’ 8-2 with Jim Mills and Jo Suchecki unbeaten.
Shepherds ‘C’ are setting a good pace in division three and they ran up their third win of the season in overcoming BT ‘B’ 7-3, with Paul Kozyra leading the way.
