THIS reviewer spotted the parental warning sticker after the 16-year-old in the family had expressed her liking for this latest release from Britain’s first urban pop superstar.

Too late, by then, to point out the misogynist and sexist lyrics. But never mind the language, there is a winning way to “Mr Rascal”, as Jeremy Paxman called him on Newsnight. Charm offensive sums it up, as Dizzee is both, well, charming and offensive. This album is also a lot of fun, as even a young girl’s ageing father can see.

Holiday is as carefree as the forgotten suntan lotion, Bonkers is enjoyably cartoon-like, while the male-bonding Chillin Wiv Da Man Dem is delightful. All very rascally, as you would expect from a 23-year-old living the superstar life. A little more reticence on the sex stuff might be nice, though.
