HISTORY enthusiasts were given a treat when they got the chance to see historic objects unearthed in York.
As part of celebrations marking 25 years of the Jorvik Viking Centre, its owner York Archaeological Trust (YAT) hosted two events, the History And Archaeology Book Fair at the Guildhall, and an exhibition at the Mansion House exploring new discoveries from the city.
The event, attended by the Lord Mayor of York John Galvin, provided a platform for the launch of Celebrating Jorvik, which contains a selection of new research and images of artefacts found in York.
