SCHOOLBOY footballers from Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses, Bootham and Naburn will provide the pre-match entertainment ahead of City’s duel against Oxford United.

The four schools are competing in this season’s CPP Challenge Cup on the hallowed Bootham Crescent turf.

Group games will be concluded next month before the quarter-finals in January and last-four clashes in February.

The final is on April 17 when City entertain Grays during their last home game of the season.

All children taking part in this season’s competition will receive a medal and an allocation of free children’s match tickets for their supporters. The winners will also receive a trophy and a new kit, supplied by CPP.

This afternoon’s games kick off at 1.45pm.
