CAN I say a big thank-you to Dave Dee, of the Banana Warehouse in Piccadilly, York?
A few weeks ago I parked over the road from the Banana Warehouse and found I didn’t have enough change for the parking meter. I went to other shops in the area for change, but not one was willing to oblige.
That was until I went into the Banana Warehouse and asked Dave Dee if he could help. I told him I was only a few pence short of the required amount and he immediately put his hand in his pocket and gave me a pound.
He was most kind in this gesture and I was very impressed that there are still some considerate people about.
I am sure he must be asked frequently for change, but his kind-heartedness in this instance deserves a pat on the back.
So many thanks Dave, you have restored my faith in humankind.
